Give your home a refresh using essential oils. This DIY room spray is made with only a few ingredients! Essential oils are extracted from flower petals, fruit skins, leaves, and other plant parts. They capture nature's subtle fragrances and are used in many ways - homeopathic remedies to freshen the air in a living space. Essential oils are used to calm, ease stress, boost your mood, relieve headaches, help get a better night's sleep, or even relieve nausea, repel insects, or help with insect bites.
Give your home a refresh using essential oils. What you will need, an 8 oz glass spray bottle, essential oils, distilled water, witch hazel if you have some on hand. Witch hazel helps to blend the oil and water. Take an 8 oz glass spray bottle, add 40 drops of your favorite essential oil, fill 3/4 full with distilled water, and 1/4 with witch hazel. You can skip the witch hazel. Mix and match essential oils for a signature scent:
Balance & Grounding, combine 10 drops of Clary Sage, 20 drops of Lavender, and 10 drops of Frankincense.
For Energy Boost, mix 10 drops of Frankincense, 15 drops of Peppermint, 15 drops of Sweet Orange.
For focus & concentration, mix equal parts of Sweet Orange and Peppermint.
For a calming environment, 20 drops of Clary Sage and 20 drops of Lavender.
The best place we recommend to purchase essential oils is Plant Therapy. All Plant Therapy's oils are 100% pure, free from any additives, impurities, or dilutions. They are of the highest quality and are ideal for aromatherapy. Therapeutic Grade is simply a marketing term many organizations use. No organization oversees the quality of essential oils to mark them as Therapeutic Grade. Plant Therapy is the only essential oil we use in our kits. We store our oils in our studio refrigerator and date each oil. Like anything else, most essential oils have a shelf life, and they can vary according to the type of oil. These tables from Healthline illustrate the average shelf life of specific oils - click here.
Essential oils can be added to existing lotions, soaps, or you bath water. Enjoy!
